Grace Mugo
Grace Kathure Mugo is a highly accomplished Gender and Social Development Expert based in Kenya. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Population Studies at the University of Ghana. Her academic achievements include a Master of Arts Degree in Sociology and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work, both obtained from the University of Nairobi, Kenya, with First Class Honours. Grace is actively engaged in professional associations, including the Kenya National Association of Social Workers and the Kenya National Association of Probation Officers, emphasizing her dedication to her field.
In her professional career, Grace has played crucial roles in various projects and organizations. Her experience spans roles such as moderating focus group discussions for the SISTARS PROJECT, focusing on STEM stakeholders from Kenya and Ghana, and serving as a Gender Officer at the Ministry of Public Service and Gender.
During her tenure as a Gender Officer, she actively contributed to the implementation of gender policies, conducted research on emerging gender issues, and raised awareness about these policies. Furthermore, her diverse experience includes positions such as Gender, Targeting, Nutrition, and Community Development Expert in the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Cooperatives, where she was instrumental in developing Programme Completion Review (PCR) reports in compliance with IFAD's project review standards.
